What To Expect From The Insurance Process
We understand that as a homeowner, living through any type of construction in your home can be overwhelming, when you add the stress of it being unplanned due to an insurance claim, the restoration process can feel daunting.
As an ICC preferred vendor, our team has mastered the process from start to finish so you can rest assured the flooring portion of your claim will be a breeze.
Going through an insurance claim is often an unknown experience, there can be various people you are in contact with from your adjustor to your contractor and all the trades in between.
We are here to share with you the typical process we walk our clients through. This is a loose guide to follow, as every claim does require a different scope of work, however it should give you a good idea of what to expect moving through the restoration and rebuild of your home.
As every claim can vary depending on many factors such as insurance company, restoration company, scope of work, cause of damage and more, the process can differ from claim to claim. However, this is a loose layout to follow/ what to expect from the flooring portion of your insurance claim.

Damage Occurs
Contact insurance company to open a claim / go over your options and policy
If you proceed with opening a claim, a restoration company will be sent to the site to complete the emergency.
Your contractor will reach out to us to request a quote (sometimes we go to the site to measure, and sometimes a docusketch is provided).
Samples of your flooring are obtained – they are either sent off to a third-party company for a validation of the spec including value in today’s market.
This is how your material budget is determined.
Once approval comes through, we contact you to come into our showroom for selections. We will always be sure to show you options within your budget.
You can switch materials, upgrade materials, etc. We can provide a quote to you for the upgrade which would be paid to us directly for anything above and beyond the insurance budget.
